Overview:
This case is concerned with post traumatic stress disorder, including diagnosis and management in the short and longer terms. The issues of confidentiality and the importance of collateral histories are also covered. The graduating student should be familiar with the concepts, but diagnosis and treatment would usually be made by a psychiatrist or other mental health professional.
